Optionally, an additional S7 PLC simulation package is available. The SimPLC PLC416 is a software simulation PLC with the functionality and the instruction set of a Simatic® S7 CPU 416.
The Simulation PLC can be installed on the same computer where you have installed the S7 for Windows® software package which will allow you to transfer data directly between S7 for Windows® and the Simulation PLC's.
It is also possible to have the S7 Simulation PLC installed on a separate computer and transfer data between S7 for Windows® and the S7 Simulation PLC via a serial link between the two computers using a null-modem cable.
