Do you want
to conect your S7 200, S7 300 or S7 400 to Ethernet TCP/IP? The solution from
the Original Equipment Manufacturer
of
the PLC is to intall a CP / Communication processor, the expensive solution.
Our solution is to use a MPI / TCP/IP TTI Protocol Converter
powered by 24 volts from the MPI/Profibus connection The TTI
Protocol Converter is installed in a Sub D connector and contains
a complete field bus master with a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface. It is connected to
a hub or switch via a 3-meter long Ethernet cable or to your PC network card via
a Crossover cable. As the protocol is standard TCP/IP, you can control your
system using VPN or a router as well as an Internet connection. With the
TTI Protocol Converter, online functions are possible via
Profibus DP with up to 12 Mbit/s or via PPI/MPI. The TTI Protocol
Converter is a very cost effective network solution because you do
not need CPs from Siemens or the Simatic Net software. The drivers for Simatic
MicroWinŽ ,Step7, WinCC, Protool and S7 for Windows are on the CD supplied with
your TTI Protocol Converter. We also have an OPC
Server available to connect your visualization programs with the
PLC via the TTI Protocol Converter. The driver enables
you to gain direct access to variables via standard programming languages such
as Visual Basic or Delphi. The configuration of the adapter is very easy and
normally done in a few minutes. The TTI Protocol Converter
automatically detects, whether its connected to a 10 or 100Mbit/s
network.
